Yays and Nays

I refuse to let my 'Nays' of the day outweigh the goodness of today - however small they may be.

NAY, I had two tiring pracs today that took the full 3 hours.
YAY! I survived them, made a new friend, and genuinely had fun.
NAY, I was tired (SO TIRED) hungry, and had 0 productivity (study wise)
YAY! I fully appreciate my friend.
NAY, felt bad for ditching my friend at the tram stop.
YAY! had a really good Bible Study Sesh.
NAY, They decided to do Karaoke.
YAY! It was entertaining and funny
NAY, I held back.
YAY! Early home time, sleep early, rest up, be refreshed.
NAY, ... or not. Sarah got a flat tyre.
YAY! My youth pastor was there to save us and helped change the tyre, even with his shattered leg that has been operated on 11 times. I'm so grateful.
YAY! We eventually did get home... doesn't matter how late
YAY! Thankful for my sister who still happily drove me home
YAY! That we got home safely
YAY! for the amazing food my parents left for me when I got home
YAY! for the understanding parents of my immensely tiring day...
YAY! I can finally settle down and sleep.

...

NAY, ... I left my pencil case at church.
YAY! my friend was there to pick it up for me.

It's taken A LOT to help me see beyond the bad.

love,

k.

  1. LOL We read a book in primary school that went exactly like this, and the whole class would yell out the YAY and BOOS.
"YAY! I'm going to the theme park"
"BOO, the rollercoaster is broken down"
    etc :P
